A painting of irony. It is an image of a couple embracing but painted on a shattered and broken surface.

Ceramic dishware is purposefully shattered and broken then arranged and adhered to a wooden panel using tile grout; the cracks in between the broken ceramic plates are filled with grout as well. Surface is then primed for oil painting, and lastly oil painting is sealed with varnish for shine and durability. Ready to hang.
